Russian Scientists Invent Stronger, Lighter Building Blocks. Get Russia
Scientists from the Institute of Civil Engineering of the St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University, or SPbPU, invented building blocks based on high-strength, lightweight concrete with nano structures. As a result, the load-bearing capacity of a building might be increased by 200% while the construction’s weight would decrease by 80%.
