Sergey V. Romanov, PhD, Director of Research and Educational Center "Energy Research", winner of St.Petersburg Government Prize for outstanding achievements in the field of higher and secondary professional education on the subject of "Development of innovative activity in educational institutions" in 2009.

In 1977 he graduated from the Electromechanical department of Leningrad Polytechnic Institute.

In 1987 Sergey V. Romanov completed his thesis and got his PhD degree.

From 1998 to 2004 he worked on executive positions at the state and private enterprises. He took the position of Vice-Director of "Progress", State Center for Management and Marketing.

He studied in Germany in Bildungswerk der Baden-WurttembergischenWirtschafte.V. in the major of "Strategic Management".

Since February 2004 Sergey V. Romanov has been Head of Strategic Planning and Development Office at SPbSPU.

In September 2011 he was appointed Vice-Rector for Administrative Services and Construction. 

His professional interests are energy-saving technologies and renewable sources of energy. 

Sergey V. Romanov is the winner of St. Petersburg Government in the field of higher and secondary vocational education and an Honored Worker of Higher Professional Education in Russia.
