Polytechnic University is represented in 10 subjects of the international QS Subject Rankings

SPbPU got the best results in mechanical engineering and electrical engineering — 3rd and 5th place in Russia and top 250 and top 300 among global universities, respectively. In materials science, Polytechnic strengthened its position in Russia, moving up to rank 7 from 10 last years.

Every year international rankings highlight the achievements and development of universities in various fields of knowledge, including SPbPU. This year, academic reputation turned out to be the most stable indicator for SPbPU’s specialties. This result was influenced by the advanced research of our scientists, the qualifications and achievements of our teachers, as well as the wide range and quality of educational programs, comments Maria Vrublevskaya, Acting Vice-Rector for Advanced Projects.

The QS World University Rankings are compiled by the global research and advisory center QS Quacquarelli Symonds. Universities are ranked according to five indicators: academic reputation, reputation in the labor market, citation index, publication index and international activity. A total of 1,559 institutions were evaluated on these subjects this year.
