How to Apply
We need to make sure we have the right information from you when applying for jobs at SPbPU, this page will help you through the process. You are encouraged to read all the information provided here.
It is important that you provide accurate information in your application. Providing incorrect information or deliberately omitting relevant facts on the application form could result in either disqualification from the selection process or, where the discovery is made after appointment, in dismissal.
All job applications must be made via the website unless otherwise stated.
Steps to be completed to apply for a job vacancy

Step 1.
Before submitting your application, please make sure that you have read the job description and the necessary criteria for the post. Your application will be assessed according to how well you meet the knowledge, skills and attributes required.

Step 2.
Please complete the online application form as fully as possible and fill in all the required information. When making your application, there are some details you must provide. These mandatory fields are marked with a red star. You will not be allowed to proceed with your application until these fields have been completed.

Step 3. Please prepare the documents listed below.
- Cover Letter (with summary of merits and highest achievement in research).
- Curriculum Vitae (with contact information and list of publications in which 5 most significant publications highlighted: 1…5)
- A Research Statement (describing past research and plans for future research).
- A Teaching Statement (describing teaching experience and plans for teaching).
- Two Reference Letters
- Credentials (scanned copies)
- Passport (a scanned copy)

Step 4.
Once you have completed all sections of the online application and prepared all the documents listed above please click on the “Attach Document” button to attach these documents.

Step 5.
Once you have completed all sections of the online application and attached all the documents, please click on the “Submit” button to send your application form and the documents to us.

Step 6.
You will also be advised of the outcome by e-mail. This may take up to several weeks depending on how long it takes the panel/committee to shortlist. Communication will normally be by e-mail so you should check your inbox regularly
An Interview
An interview is commonly conducted via Skype. However, applicants can be invited to visit campus and give presentation and deliver a lecture. If you are required to give a presentation and deliver a lecture as part of the selection process you will be given full details when you are invited for interview.
If you are shortlisted we will contact you via e-mail to invite you to attend an interview.
You will be interviewed by at least two people. We will let you know, by e-mail, whether you are successful or unsuccessful at each stage of the process.
We normally take up references prior to interview. If you do not wish us to contact your referees at this stage, please indicate this in your application. You are required to provide us with the names and contact details of two referees who can provide information regarding your suitability for the post, one of which should normally be your current or most recent manager/supervisor.
