Conferences

The high authority of scientists and researchers of the Polytechnic University attracts a lot of attention to the ongoing University conferences, seminars, schools of young researchers, master classes in various areas of both scientific and educational activities. Some of them are regular, others are held ad hoc.

Video seminar on aerohydrodynamics

The united video seminar on aerohydrodynamics has been held since 2009 and has been a forum for scientists and researchers, where the researches on the key areas of the mechanics of flows, aeronautics, space aeronautics and related fields have been discussed. The reports on topical issues, surveys, projects and results of initiative and competition works, doctoral and master's theses, peer-reviewed articles, conference researches, etc. are presented in the seminar.

The seminar is held as a videoconference, which currently includes four platforms: Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after N.E. Zhukovsky (the chairman – Ivan Vladimirovitch Egorov, a corresponding member of Russian Academy of Sciences), Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics named after S.A. Christianovich SB RAS (the chairman – Vasily Mikhailovich Fomin, an academician of RAS), Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (the chairman – Evgeniy Mikhailovich Smirnov, Dr. Sci. in Physics and Mathematics, the head of the Department of Hydroaerodynamics), Institute of Mechanics of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov (the chairman – Sergey Vladimirovitch Guvernyuk, Cand. Sc. Of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, deputy director).

Seminars are held weekly on Tuesdays (11 AM Moscow time), SPbPU platform location: St. Petersburg, Polytechnicheskaya str., 29, Education Building IV Training (conference hall of the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications).
