Russian Language Centers

Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) is actively developing a global network of educational centers to strengthen international partnerships, promote the Russian language, and attract talented applicants.

SPbPU’s Russian Language and Pre-University Preparation Centers provide international citizens with comprehensive preparation for successful admission to and study at Russian universities. Pre-university preparation programs are required for admission to undergraduate, specialist, master’s, and doctoral programs. These programs are coordinated by the Center for Russian as a Foreign Language, which is part of SPbPU’s Graduate School of International Educational Programs.

Russian language instruction is offered at various levels (from A1 to C2), including preparation for the TRKI (Turkmenistan as a Foreign Language) certificate. Classes can last from two weeks to one year and help students not only master the language but also gain an understanding of Russian culture. SPbPU also has a testing center where students can take the Russian as a Foreign Language exam.
