International Students of Polytech Receive St. Petersburg Government Awards

Three international students of Polytech have received awards from the St. Petersburg Government. The ceremony in the historic Smolny building was hosted by Yevgeny Grigoriev, Chairman of the City Committee for External Relations.

International Students Receive St. Petersburg Government Awards

Fourth-year student of the Higher School of Biotechnology and Food Production Sofia Yatsenko (Kyrgyzstan) was recognized for her outstanding academic achievements. At Polytech, she is majoring in Biotechnology.

Third-year student of the Higher School of Production Management Dmitry Rusnak from Moldova was awarded for his active public engagement.

Third-year student of the Higher School of International Relations Ogultach Rakhymova from Turkmenistan received an award for her creative accomplishments.

«Polytech students not only study but also create the history of the university,» noted Dmitry Arseniev, Vice-Rector for International Affairs at SPbPU. «Their victories at the city level demonstrate the highest level of training, determination, and talent. We are proud that they worthily represent our university and their countries, making an invaluable contribution to the academic and cultural life of Polytech and St. Petersburg.»

Sofia Yatsenko shared her impressions: The invitation to the majestic Smolny was a pleasant surprise. It was joyful to see so many talented young people from different countries. Such moments undoubtedly become some of the brightest memories of student years!
