Polytechnic University is in the TOP-2% of the world’s best universities

15 February 2022 Achievements 1031

According to the results of the Global Aggregate Ranking 2022, SPbPU is included in the TOP-2% of the world’s leading universities. Among Russian universities, Polytechnic University is among the TOP-5 and the TOP-3 participants of the Priority 2030 Strategic Academic Leadership Program. Since last year, SPbPU added one position to the Russian part of the ranking. This result was achieved by Polytechnic University’s consistently high positions (range 250-500) in most of the world’s recognized rankings.

Polytechnic University is in the TOP-2% of the world’s best universities

One of our competitive advantages is our inclusion in the DEQAR database (Database of External Quality Assurance Results, coordinated by the European Union), which contains information about 36 accredited SPbPU educational programs with a confirmed high level of development and implementation. SPbPU Rector Andrei Rudskoi notes: The stakes of Polytechnic University’s development until 2030 are quality, not quantity. We aim not to increase our volumes, but to make our new products — educational programs, developments, articles — unique and globally recognized.

The implementation of our university’s strategy for science and education development affects the growth of positions in the leading rankings, and the global aggregate ranking is based on them, comments Maria Vrublevskaya, Head of Strategic Planning Department at SPbPU. Last year, we intensified our work aimed at improving the quality of the university’s scientific activities and focused on publications in top-rated journals. We expect that this will allow us to continue to strengthen our position in this ranking.

For reference:
