Polytechnic University demonstrated high achievements in education (+247 places in the world ranking, top 233 in the world) and research (+164 places in the world ranking). Both indicators were primarily influenced by the growth of reputation, which is assessed by independent experts.

We develop the university comprehensively — we conduct research in the areas relevant to the country, develop new advanced training programs both at the level of higher education and additional professional education. We are also strengthening partnerships with industry representatives, opening new educational programs focused on market needs. In addition, we create innovative social, scientific and educational spaces, as well as conditions for personnel development. This approach to the development of the university allows us to achieve fast and high-quality results, which are reflected in Russian and international rankings, commented Rector of SPbPU, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Andrei Rudskoi.

It is pleasant to note that our work to improve the quality of scientific research leads to high results in the TNE ranking. This year there have been many changes in the methodology of the ranking, which are designed to reflect the high requirements to the significance and demand for research. Our scores are significantly above average for all new criteria of the Research Quality group, says Maria Vrublevskaya, Head of the Department of Strategic Planning and Development Programs of SPbPU.
