SPbPU has strengthened its position in the QS World University Rankings international ranking
The results of the QS World University Rankings by British company Quacquarelli Symonds have been published. This year, 1,501 universities from 106 countries were included in the ranking. It is worth noting that the overall trend in the participation of Russian universities is currently negative. Russia is now represented in the ranking by 40 universities, which is 7 fewer than last year. Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University has maintained its position among domestic universities, ranking 12th in Russia and 609th in the world.

Peter the Great Polytechnic University showed steady growth across all ranking indicators, with a particularly strong jump in the «Sustainable Development» criterion—up 40.4 points. It was this positive trend that led to an increase in SPbPU’s overall score and allowed it to strengthen its position in the ranking.
The QS World University Rankings evaluates universities based on a number of indicators, each of which determines the university’s position in the ranking to varying degrees. Among the main indicators are the academic reputation of the university, the ratio of teachers to students, and the university’s reputation among employers. In addition, the ranking assesses indicators such as citation rates, sustainable development, and the proportion of foreign students and foreign teachers.
