SPbPU improved its position in QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2025

When compiling the ranking, experts took into account three global parameters: environmental impact, social impact and management system. Compared to the similar ranking of the previous year, Polytechnic University has strengthened its sustainable development position in the field of education, as well as in terms of employment and career of graduates.

For us, the university is without any doubt the development corporation of the city and the country. We invest in the creation of breakthrough technologies for the benefit of Russian industry, train highly qualified specialists, and ensure the growth of the economy. All this has a beneficial effect on ensuring Russia’s technological and cognitive sovereignty. The reflection of this large-scale work in international rankings means that we are on the right track, said Andrei Rudskoi, Rector of SPbPU.

According to the number of points scored, Polytechnic University entered the group of universities with above-average scores in such indicators as «Environmental Impact» and «Management System».

Compared to last year, the number of participants in the ranking increased by more than 300 universities. In a highly competitive environment, we managed to improve our result and enter the top 5 universities in Russia. The SPbPU ecosystem we have created, which inspires students, teachers and scientists to creative work, has been highly appreciated by the professional community, emphasized Maria Vrublevskaya, Acting Vice-Rector for Advanced Projects of SPbPU.
