SPbPU is in the top three leaders of Interfax ranking on the quality of education
The Interfax Group ranking agency has presented the 26th annual National University Ranking (NUR) 2025. The ranking agency evaluates the performance of universities by six parameters: brand, education, research, social environment, cooperation, innovation and entrepreneurship. Each parameter is a separate sub-ranking.

According to the results of 2025, SPbPU ranked 15th in the National University Ranking with 639 points on the sum of all criteria. The university demonstrated the best results in the sub-ranking for the quality of education, where it ranked third. Polytechnic University scored 42 points more than last year and improved its position by seven ranks.
A significant contribution to the university’s performance in this sub-ranking was made by the indicator related to the quality of training of applicants. Polytechnic University’s admission campaign in 2024 was marked by a 16% increase in the number of Olympiad winners compared to last year, as well as a similar increase in the number of Olympiads held with Polytechnic’s participation. In addition, the University is actively working with the city schools. In the reporting year, the number of schools with pre-university training programs of SPbPU increased by 4%, while the number of students participating in these programs increased 4.5 times (from 1,279 to 5,768).
The ranking was based on 389 Russian universities, including 29 national research universities, ten federal universities, 33 core universities, as well as 145 universities participating in the Priority 2030 program. In addition, 22 non-state universities were included in the ranking.
