SPbPU ranked in the top 3 in three engineering fields in the RAEX subject ranking
The RAEX agency has published subject rankings of Russian universities that are part of the Three University Missions family. This year the rankings were published in 35 areas — 166 higher education institutions from 40 regions of Russia were included in the lists of the best ones. The rankings were formed on the basis of objective data from open sources.
This year Polytechnic University demonstrates stable top positions in three subject areas. For three years in a row, SPbPU has been the leader in civil engineering, holding the 1st place. In the subject area «Mechanical Engineering and Robotics» SPbPU ranks 2nd, second only to Bauman Moscow State Technical University, and in the subject area «Land Transportation Engineering and Technologies» — 3rd place.
Polytechnic University has become one of the most widely represented universities in the subject rankings of the RAEH agency, taking 10th place in the top 10 universities of the country in 20 subject areas, which confirms its polytechnic approach and leadership in a number of areas.
In eight subjects: «Power Engineering, Power Machinery Engineering and Electrical Engineering», ‘Nuclear Physics and Technology’, ‘Materials Technology’, ‘Biotechnology and Bioengineering’, ‘Electronics, Radio Engineering and Communication Systems’, and ‘Hospitality Industry’ SPbPU was among the top five universities in Russia.
In economic and humanitarian fields, the university has the 8th place in the subject «Management», 10th in «Economics», «Linguistics and Foreign Languages», 12th in «Political Science and International Relations».
Subject rankings of Russian universities are based on the assessment of three missions of the university — educational, scientific and social. The rankings answer the question: which universities provide the best educational and scientific training of students in a particular subject area, taking into account their contribution to the social development of the country.
