SPbPU tops the 15-year ranking of the IT-Planet International Olympiad

The forum of mentors of the IT-Planet international student Olympiad in the sphere of information and communication technologies was held in Moscow. The event was held with the participation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

For 15 years of the International Olympiad «IT-Planet» more than 150000 people from more than 2000 educational organizations of higher and secondary vocational education in Russia and CIS countries participated in it.

The forum awarded 34 universities and colleges, which received the highest marks in terms of student and graduate participation for all the years that the Olympiad has been held.

Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University took the first place in the rating. The polytechnics took first place 11 times at the international finals of the IT-Planet Olympiad. SPbPU also became the champion in the following nominations.

Oleg Sabinin, Associate Professor of HSAIT, who is a constant mentor of the SPbPU team at the Olympiad, received a letter of appreciation from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for his long-term mentoring and significant contribution to the development of personal and professional skills of students. Sabinin has trained more than 20 winners and prize-winners.
