We are the first! SPbPU topped the main media ranking of universities in the country

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation has presented the results of the ranking of media activity of universities for April 2024. It includes 237 institutions of higher education. Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University took first place in the country’s main media ranking.

The Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education’s monthly media ranking evaluates higher education institutions according to three indicators. In the ranking of the effectiveness of work with the media, the number of publications about the university and its employees in regional, federal and Internet media, the audience of these sources, the number of stories on TV channels and news about the university or its projects posted on the resources of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia are considered. When assessing the effectiveness of work with social networks, the university’s accounts, work in social networks, and traffic brought to the university’s website from social networks are taken into account. In the ranking of the effectiveness of the university’s work with the site, the audience of the site, the time spent by users on it, the number of visits per month, etc. are evaluated.

Polytechnic University for the past few months held the second position in the media ranking. Thanks to the great work of the departments responsible for the media activity of the university, it was possible to overcome this barrier and get to the first place.
