More than 200 people — rectors and delegations of leading universities, ministries and relevant agencies, and scientific institutions — participated in the Armenian-Russian scientific and educational forum.

The interest in the Russian language and Russian culture in Armenia is very high. And we have a high interest in the culture of Armenia, as well as our interaction with our Armenian colleagues, said in his turn Russian Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov.

The President of the Russian Union of Rectors, Rector of Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichy, drew attention to the fact that in the coming years the digitalization process and artificial intelligence will have an even greater impact on the formation of professional competencies. This will be expressed first of all in the fact that the best result of activity in any sphere will be achieved through the joint work of a human being and artificial intelligence. Professionalism and mastery will depend on human ability to get the most out of artificial intelligence, said the President of the RUR.

The second day of the event took place at the Russian-Armenian University. On June 14, six parallel sessions were organized at different venues of the University. Opening the second day of the forum, the Rector of the Russian-Armenian University Edward Sandoyan noted that the modern era is the era of knowledge and information, and not only the era of resources, natural and human. Moreover, this is the era of knowledge and information in the broad sense, characteristic of the digital age. Very soon we will be on the losing end, if we do not actively work on the digitalization of the education system and implementation of new technologies right now, today, said Rector of the RAU.

Nikita Golovin moderated the session “Innovative cooperation as a factor of economic modernization”

Professor Alexander Korotkov presented technological developments in the field of microelectronics and the range of research activities of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications of SPbPU. He made proposals for future joint projects with his colleagues from the RAU. In the near future, this area will become a new vector of partnership between SPbPU and the RAU, along with the scientific and educational cooperation in nanostructure physics, space technologies, biomedicine, economics, and humanitarian areas that has already been developing for several years.
