PRC Consulate General in St. Petersburg Organized a Charity Event for Chinese Students of the Polytechnic

The Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in St. Petersburg organized a charity event for Chinese students of Polytechnic University. On April 28, 2020, volunteers from the Advisory Center for Chinese Students at SPbPU, Consulate’s voluntary assistants handed over individual anti-virus protection kits to international students. The kits included medical masks and a variety of disinfectants. Altogether, almost fifteen hundred of Polytechnic University’s Chinese students have got support from the Consulate. The head of the Advisory Center for Chinese Students at SPbPU Shen LEI coordinated the action.

We greatly appreciate your support and our cooperation. In this difficult time for the whole world, it is very important to shore up each other. The People’s Republic of China is our unfailing partner, who once came in full force as a worthy business partner,” said Dmitry ARSENIEV, SPbPU Vice-Rector for International Relations.

Let us remind that a few days ago a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir PUTIN and the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi JINGPIN. The leaders of the two countries emphasized that mutual support in countering the global threat of the spread of coronavirus is another convincing evidence of the special character of the Russian-Chinese comprehensive strategic partnership. On the same occasion, the mood to further strengthen cooperation in this area was confirmed, including through the exchange of specialists, supply of medicines and medical and protective equipment
