Representatives of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University took part in a series of events within the framework of the International Educational Fair — 2025, the largest exhibition for Central Asian students, which was held in Kazakhstan (Astana, Almaty), Uzbekistan (Tashkent) and Kyrgyzstan (Bishkek).
At the SPbPU stand, active consulting work was carried out with applicants and their parents. Specialists of the Polytechnic University spoke in detail about the features of bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, detailed the conditions of admission and various options for financing education. Applicants interested in technical areas of training showed the greatest activity, while in Kyrgyzstan special attention was paid to master’s degree programs.
There is a growing demand for high-quality engineering education, while the nature of the requests demonstrates a high level of awareness among potential students. Applicants asked specific questions about the material and technical equipment of the university, internship opportunities during their studies, and career paths after graduation. Such a meaningful dialogue reflects a mature approach to the choice of education and corresponds to the university’s objectives to attract motivated and talented international students.
During the visit, the delegation also held a series of meetings with the leadership of partner universities, including the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University in Astana and the B.N. Yeltsin Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University in Bishkek. The negotiations discussed the development of joint educational modules and academic exchanges. Special attention was paid to attracting talented foreign applicants. Taisya Kletskina, specialist of the Department of International Interuniversity Cooperation at SPbPU, spoke about the possibilities of admission to postgraduate studies for the winners of the International Olympiad «Open Doors: Russian Scholarship project». Orientation meetings were organized for potential participants, where the conditions of registration, the format of competitive tests and interviews were explained in detail. Prospective applicants were also familiarized with the list of SPbPU academic supervisors, available educational programs, and received instructions on how to work with the university’s official website.
The events held revealed a high interest in studying at SPbPU from applicants from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are particularly interested in bachelor’s degree programs, while Kyrgyzstan is particularly interested in master’s degree programs.
An important result of SPbPU’s participation in the exhibition was the recognition of the university’s achievements. The Organizing Committee of the International Educational Exhibition, presented by Central Asian Education & The Representation Alliance (CERA) and Bolashaq Development Fund (BDF) awarded the team of the SPbPU Center for International Recruitment and Communications with the honorary award «For Strengthening Global Educational Bridges for Students from Central Asia.»
