15 January 2026 International activities 52

A group of international students from Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University visited the unique Lenreserv Museum and Exhibition complex.

The Lenreserv Museum is famous for its large-scale collection of authentic military equipment, automobiles, artillery pieces and household items from the Great Patriotic War. Each exhibit here is a living testimony of the era, telling about the steadfastness of the defenders of Leningrad and the home front workers.

International students of SPbPU visited the Lenreserv Museum

The students were particularly impressed not only by the technology itself, but also by the stories behind it. Ahmad Md Nawab, a student at the Higher School of Biotechnology and Food Technology, shared his emotions: It was a unique experience. We were told the history of the Lenreserv Museum, the history of military equipment and military equipment that were used during the war. It was very interesting! For him, as for many, it was a revelation with what courage and dedication people sacrificed themselves.

Liu Yihan, a student at the preparatory faculty of SPbPU, noted the incredible energy of the exhibits: The visit to Lenreserv was unforgettable. I love these authentic wartime items so much — they remind us of the people who lived, fought and defended this land. Thanks to such material evidence, history ceases to be just words in a textbook — it comes to life.

For the university, such visits are an important part of educational and cultural work with international students. They help not only to improve knowledge of the Russian language and history, but also to better understand the values, traditions and spiritual heritage of Russia, the heroism of the people who defended their country.
