Implementation of joint educational projects between SPbPU and KRSU

Last week, Elena Devyatova, Vice-Rector for Educational Activities at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU), paid a working visit to Polytechnic University.

The main goal of the visit was to discuss interim results and further implementation of joint educational projects between SPbPU and KRSU under the 2025-26 Roadmap. Over two days of intensive work, Elena Devyatova and colleagues from SPbPU addressed a wide range of current tasks outlined in the Roadmap.

Elena Devyatova met with Maria Pakhomova, head of the SPbPU HR Department

The formation of a new generation of teaching staff is one of the key objectives of the KRSU development strategy until 2040. Therefore, Elena Devyatova met with Maria Pakhomova, Head of the SPbPU Human Resources Department, for a professional discussion on the current challenges of personnel development. Elena Devyatova reported on the preliminary results of the KRSU faculty competition, which is currently being held at the Kyrgyz university.

Discussed the development of the continuing professional education system with Ivan Kurt

Elena Devyatova discussed the development of the continuing professional education (CPE) system at KSU with Ivan Kurt, Head of the Directorate for Continuing Education and Industry Partnerships at SPbPU. A joint engineering track will be formed at the International Institute of Continuing Education and Personnel Engineering of KRSU to implement a wide range of professional development and retraining programs in engineering fields in a network format.

ILC leaders presented a range of modern digital technologies used at Polytech

The leaders of the Information and Library Complex (ILC) of SPbPU continued their dialogue with Elena Devyatova on interlibrary cooperation. Alexander Plemnek, director of the ILC, presented the full range of modern digital technologies used at the Polytechnic University to provide employees and students with access to educational and scientific literature, including a wide range of leading scientific journals.

A schedule was agreed upon for preparations for the pilot launch of the course “Fundamentals of Project Activity” at KRSU

At a meeting with project experts on the introduction of the course «Fundamentals of Project Menegement» into the educational process, Inna Seledtsova and Anton Ambrazhey, Elena Devyatova agreed on a schedule for preparing for the pilot launch of the course, which is scheduled to start at KRSU in February 2026.

An important aspect of the development of education is the effective use of modern distance learning technologies in the educational process. Here, SPbPU provides maximum support to KRSU and shares not only its experience, but also specific best practices and developments. Elena Devyatova visited the SPbPU Open Education Center, where she got acquainted with the distance learning tools developed at Polytech, as well as the technologies for recording and designing modern online courses. Currently, with the expert and consulting support of specialists from the SPbPU Open Education Center, an online course recording center is being created at KRSU.

The meeting between Elena Devyatova and Ludmila Pankova, Vice-Rector for Educational Activities, Nadezhda Graschenko, Head of the Directorate for Basic Educational Programs, Vilena Dubyago, Director of the Center for Educational Program Development, and Svetlana Kalmykova, Director of the Center for Open Education, served as a kind of summary of all the discussions.

Ludmila Pankova and Elena Devyatova signed a protocol granting KRSU access to the SPbPU online laboratory campus

During the meeting, plans were agreed upon to develop joint educational programs in the areas of «Technosphere Safety» (bachelor’s and master’s degrees) and «Software Engineering» (master’s degree). The programs under development provide students with the opportunity to obtain two diplomas — one from KRSU and one from SPbPU.

At the end of the visit, Elena Devyatova and Ludmila Pankova signed a protocol granting KRSU access to the SPbPU online laboratory campus (virtual laboratories): «Virtual model of a hydraulic drive for laboratory work,» «Virtual stands for laboratory work in the discipline «Life Safety,» and «Virtual Compressor Laboratory.»
