Inspiring Video from the University of Granada

14 April 2020 International activities 865

We continue to receive letters of support as well as current information about the situation from our partner universities. This week colleagues from the University of Granada (UGR) shared with us details of the postponement of the deadlines for submitting documents from the international students, and also sent us an inspiring video.

“We are pleased to offer you this version of the university anthem Gaudeamos Igitur prepared by our University orchestra and choir from their homes and specially adapted to the emergency situation we are experiencing”, - wrote The UGR International Team.

The Spanish government has just announced the extension of the State of Alarm until the end of April 2020. In the light of the situation the Rectors of the Andalusian public universities together with the regional ministry responsible for universities have decided that for the remainder of this academic year all teaching will be on-line, with no return to on-campus teaching.

For the international students, this means that all remaining teaching this semester will be on-line, both for those who have chosen to stay in Granada and for those who have returned home but wish to continue their studies at the UGR. Students are guaranteed an assessment process which will allow them to complete the courses in which they are registered at the UGR. Should be underlined that at the moment two SPbPU are staying in Granada.

“We would like to reiterate our best wishes to you all at this troubling time, and hope that this message finds you all in good health and in good spirits to overcome this enormous challenge to our health systems and, indeed, to many of the aspects of our day-to day life which we have taken for granted”, - wished UGR International Team.

Stay home, stay safe and enjoy the musical composition from the University of Granada with us!
