International Polytechnic Summer School 2024 is completed

Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University successfully completed the International Polytechnic Summer School. The event gathered more than 400 participants from different parts of the world.

The Summer School program included educational modules in 20 different areas from nuclear energy to Russian language.

Summer School participants from Iran, Pakistan and China

This year for the first time the participants were students of the Joint Polytechnic Institute of Xi’an Technological University and St. Petersburg Peter the Great Polytechnic University (JPI XATU — SPbPU). In addition to studying the Russian language, they got acquainted with the latest achievements of science and technology in the field of new materials, robotics and automation in the electric power industry.

Emphasis on power engineering

The Institute of Eqnergy has become a center of attraction for future power engineers from PRC universities. The Energy Academy introduced a variety of highly sought-after programs such as Electric Power Engineering, Nuclear Power Engineering, Hydrogen Power Engineering, Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Development, and Turbomachinery. These courses allowed students to deepen their knowledge and skills in one of the most relevant and fastest growing industries.

Innovation and Technology

Students from Nanjing University of Science and Technology, from China’s capital of innovation and R&D, chose the module «Smart Manufacturing and Digital Future» organized by the Graduate School of Cyber-Physical Systems Management. As part of this course, participants learned advanced techniques in robotics, smart manufacturing systems and modeling in the Polytechnic University’s state-of-the-art laboratories. This gave the students an opportunity not only to gain theoretical knowledge but also to apply it in practice.

Cultural exchange and friendship

In addition to academic classes, the Summer School participants got acquainted with the cultural heritage of St. Petersburg, visiting such iconic places as the Hermitage and Peterhof. These excursions were an opportunity for the students to see the greatness of Russian culture and strengthened international ties and friendships between young professionals.

Results and perspectives

The closing of the International Polytechnic Summer School was a landmark event for all participants. They returned to their countries with new knowledge, impressions and friends.

The Summer School at SPbPU once again confirmed its reputation as an important event for students seeking international education and professional growth.

Polytechnic University continues to develop its international projects, create a platform for the exchange of experience and knowledge between young professionals from all over the world and contribute to the creation of a unified global community.
