Polytechnic took part in the celebrations dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Tangshan Oriental International Corporation. Recall that on March 2, 2022, St. Petersburg Polytechnic and Tangshan Oriental International School (part of Tangshan Oriental International Corporation) signed an agreement to establish a joint Polytechnic-Tangshan Preparatory Center. Its key goal is to prepare Chinese students for admission to Polytechnic University and other universities in St. Petersburg.

The Polytechnic-Tangshan Preparatory Center operates on the basis of Tangshan Eastern International School, located in the industrial city of Tangshan, Hebei Province, not far from Beijing. Tangshan East International School has more than 7,500 students, is a major educational institution in China and has a strong material and technical base.
Pavel Nedelko, Assistant Vice-Rector, handed over a congratulatory note from Dmitry Arseniev, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, to Tangshan Eastern International Corporation and personally to its head Zhang Guofu.
Acknowledgements for long and fruitful cooperation were given to Zhang Shining, Director of Tangshan Oriental International School, and Dmitry Rogozin, General Director of Friendship Bridge Company.
Wang Lin, Deputy Director of Tangshan Oriental International School, was awarded the Medal of Honor of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University for his personal contribution to the development of international relations.
The ceremony of declaring Qingdao the Tourism and Cultural Capital of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) for 2024-2025 was an important event where SPbPU demonstrated its achievements and strengthened ties with Chinese partners.

During the event, university representatives were able to discuss the prospects of cooperation with Chinese educational institutions, as well as draw attention to study programs for international students. This is especially relevant in light of the growing interest in education in Russia among Chinese youth.
In parallel with the participation in the ceremonial events, entrance tests for applicants wishing to enter SPbPU were held. Members of the admission committee for foreign citizens assessed the knowledge and skills of future students, which is an important stage in the admission process.
As part of the trip, video messages in Russian and English were recorded for Chinese applicants planning to come to study at SPbPU.

These videos will be available in Chinese social networks and will help potential students to better understand the opportunities offered by SPbPU and to adapt to life and study in Russia.
