The educational exhibition «Russian Universities − the Best Choice», organized by the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo, was held with great success at the Russian Center for Science and Culture (RCSC) in Hanoi and a number of leading educational institutions in Vietnam. Polytech became one of the participants of this large-scale event, the purpose of which was career guidance and the presentation of Russian higher education opportunities to Vietnamese applicants and partners. Elena Selivanova, a leading specialist at the Higher School of Cyber-Physical Systems and control, and Zhanna Trunkova, a leading advertising manager at the Center for International Recruitment and Communications, presented SPbPU.

The Polytech’s delegation took part in a rich program, which included not only the traditional exhibition at the RCSC, but also a series of field events in the province. One of the first significant events was a meeting at the Hanoi University of Business and Technology (HUBT). Together with colleagues from other leading Russian universities, representatives of SPbPU discussed the prospects of interuniversity cooperation with the leadership of HUBT, including Vice-rector Chang Duc Minh and Dean of the Faculty of Russian Language Le Thanh Van. The meeting with the students, who got acquainted with the educational programs of the Polytech with interest, was especially productive. After the presentations, the students asked questions about admission, studies and life in Russia.

An important area of work of the SPbPU delegation was the strengthening of partnerships in Ninh Binh Province. Representatives of the university, together with Vladimir Murashkin, Director of the RCSC, met with the leadership of the provincial Department of Education and Training. During the meeting with the director of the department, Nguyen Tien Dung, and his deputy, Bui Van Khiet, steps to develop cooperation were discussed, including expanding academic exchanges, introducing dual degree programs, and organizing joint career guidance.

Vladimir Murashkin, Director of the RCSC, thanked his Vietnamese colleagues for fruitful cooperation and confirmed the readiness of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Vietnam to continue supporting the initiatives of Russian universities to popularize and promote Russian education in Vietnam.

Next, the Polytech’s delegation held a series of meetings with gifted schoolchildren. The presentations were held at specialized boarding schools known for their strong training: Luong Van Tui, Bien Hoa and. Le Hong Fong. At the school named after. Le Hong Phong, where Russian is studied in depth, the students were very enthusiastic about the performance of the polytech. The students, many of whom dream of studying in Russia, received advice from representatives of SPbPU on training areas, entrance tests and opportunities to participate in summer schools. A similar interest was expressed at Bien Hoa School, whose director, Nguyen Thi Bik Thanh, expressed her willingness to conclude memoranda of understanding with Russian universities to promote the Russian language and education.

The culmination of the program was the final event at the RCSC, dedicated to the World Science Day for Peace and Development, proclaimed by UNESCO. As part of the expert session «Russian-Vietnamese scientific and educational cooperation for the breakthrough development of Vietnam», Elena Selivanova of Peter the Great St. Petersburg State University presented a report on the most relevant topic: «Practice-oriented training in the field of cyberphysical systems». Her speech provoked a response from Vietnamese and Russian colleagues, emphasizing the relevance of the university’s educational programs to global trends and challenges of Vietnam’s technological development in its new stage — the «Era of National Ascent.»

SPbPU’s participation in the Russian Universities — the Best Choice exhibition once again confirmed the university’s status as one of the flagships of Russian engineering education, ready to train highly qualified personnel for the Vietnamese economy and make a significant contribution to strengthening Russian-Vietnamese scientific and educational ties.
