Recruitment of Chinese applicants for the preparatory courses of Polytechnic University in China is gaining momentum

The recruitment of applicants to the educational courses, which SPbPU launched together with a Chinese partner, Qingdao Hengxing University of Science and Technology, is gaining momentum. University preparation programs have proven to be in high demand among Chinese students. Representatives of Share, who provided significant support in organizing courses in the PROCESS, reported this. In addition, the SPbPU Representative Office in Shanghai traditionally provides significant assistance in promoting the new program.

To date, three educational exhibitions have already taken place in the cities of Jining, Lianyi and Hejie, Shandong Province. All of them confirmed a high degree of interest from the part of Chinese applicants and their parents who visited the stands of Polytechnic University.

Let us remind that within the framework of the new program of preparation for the admission to the university, Chinese high school students will study the Russian language and disciplines in Russian in accordance with the orientation of the future specialty. Chinese teachers will teach the disciplines on the basis of the methodological materials provided by the Higher School of International Educational Programs. SPbPU teachers will give weekly online lessons in Russian. Classes will be held for both students and teachers. At the end of the year, the teachers of Polytechnic University will come to Qingdao for full-time final examinations.

Auditoriums equipped for online classes have already been prepared. The first classes for Chinese students will be held in September 2020. If the situation with coronavirus infection allows, then they will spend the second semester already at the Higher School of the IEP SPbPU, taking full-time classes.
