SPbPU Representative Office in Shanghai Received a Certificate on State Registration

SPbPU Representative Office in Shanghai received a certificate of state registration of the Shanghai Science and Technology Committee. Thus, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University became the first Russian university whose representation abroad was recognized at the state level of the host country.

The official certificate-awarding ceremony took place online as part of the round table on Russian-Chinese cooperation in science and technology. Chairman of the Shanghai Science and Technology Committee, Mr. Zhang JUN, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech, emphasizing that cooperation between Russia and China in the scientific and technological sphere is developing intensively and dynamically, and universities and research centers play an important role in that.

On behalf of Polytechnic University, SPbPU Vice-Rector for International Relations Dmitry ARSENIEV expressed his sincere gratitude to the Shanghai Science and Technology Committee “for the support of the SPbPU Representative Office in Shanghai and assistance in formalizing official state registration.”

“This opens up new opportunities for our cooperation and establishing mutually beneficial contacts. In recent years, Polytechnic University has prepared a serious basis for cooperation between leading universities, foremost centers and companies at the site of our Representative Office. We hope that in the future the activities of our Representative Office and cooperation between SPbPU and the Shanghai Science and Technology Committee will contribute to the promotion of Russian innovative and scientific and technological projects in the PRC,” emphasized the SPbPU Vice-Rector.
