Representatives of Polytechnic University participated in negotiations with the BRU administration and held lectures for teachers and students

Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and Belarusian-Russian University (BRU) discussed the development of international cooperation on network educational programs, issues of interaction in scientific areas, possibilities of transport infrastructure development, and transport connectivity within the development programs of the Union State. The series of negotiations were held during the visit to BRU of SPbPU official delegation, which included the representatives of the Graduate School of Transport, Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Materials and Transport Dmitry PLOTNIKOV, and Alexei GRACHEV.

Representatives of IMEM&T SPbPU visited the Belarusian-Russian University

During the visit, the SPbPU delegation held a series of talks with the management of the Belarusian-Russian University. The polytechnics discussed the questions of strategic cooperation on network international educational programs in the field of «Land transport and technological complexes» with Yury MASHIN, the First Vice-Rector of BRU, as well as on perspective directions of scientific researches. As a result, the parties agreed on a basic program of cooperation and determined the number of students participating in the program at both universities. At the meeting with BRU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Natalia VOLOGINA, the Polytechnic representatives also discussed cooperation on international network education programs, including the search for growth points based on mutual integration of educational processes. Agreements were reached to open new network programs and graduate departments were contacted to develop the existing partnership.

A series of working meetings were also held with representatives of the departments and specialized subdivisions of BRU. Thus, during a meeting with Alexander MELNIKOV, Dean of the Automobile Engineering Faculty, in addition to the development of cooperation in the field of educational activities, the parties talked about expanding cooperation in scientific areas, as well as within the development programs of the Union State. In addition, the Polytechnic got acquainted with the material and technical base of the BRU, which is planned to be used in joint projects. International network training programs for students, as well as the results of joint research SPbPU representatives, discussed with Igor LESKOVETS, Head of the Department of Transport and Technological, and the issues of safe operation of transport infrastructure objects within the development programs of the Union State — with Alexander SCHUR, Head of Department of Technosphere Security and Industrial Design. The parties discussed the issues of digital transformation of national and regional transport systems and methods of forming topical competencies in the field of transport and logistics with the staff of the Chair of Logistics and Production Management.

Representatives of Polytechnic University got acquainted with the scientific results of the SimTech Engineering Center. They reached a preliminary agreement with the head of SimTech Oleg LEONENKO on the joint research in the field of computer engineering of transport vehicles and various technological equipment.

Representatives of SPbPU delivered lectures to the BRU students

Within the framework of the visit, the representatives of SPbPU delivered lectures to the students of the BRU Department of Lifting and Transport, Construction, Road Machines, and Equipment, Department of Automotive engineering, and Department of Land transport and Technological Complexes«. The Polytechnic gave a course of lectures for the BRU teachers on the additional professional training program in «Lifecycle of land transport-technological machines: lifting and transport machines». Also, working meetings were held to form an article Justification of the data set of a digital twin-tracked bulldozer for publication in the journal.

The visit took place within the framework of the state project «Implementation of a set of measures to improve the effectiveness of the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) and Belarusian-Russian universities in training professional personnel for the digital economy through the development of research programs, additional education and advanced training programs for students and young scientific and pedagogical staff, including the use of modern distance technologies». This project is funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and aims to develop cooperation between SPbPU and the two Slavic universities.
