Russian Universities Lead the Way! SPbPU Joins Vietnam Education Fair
From 14 to 23 March 2025, Hanoi and other regions of Vietnam hosted a large-scale educational exhibition «Russian universities Lead the Way!» organized by the Rossotrudnichestvo office.
Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) presented its programs and strengthened partnerships with Vietnamese educational institutions. Polytechnic was represented by Daria Balitskaya, senior teacher of supplementary education at the Higher School of International Educational Programs.

The exhibition became a key platform for promoting Russian education and the Russian language. SPbPU held a series of presentations in Thanh Hoa and Nam Dinh provinces, as well as in prestigious schools and universities in Hanoi. Pupils and students learned about study opportunities in Russia, scholarships, internships and career prospects for graduates.
On March 17, a delegation of universities from Russia visited Thanh Hoa Province, the second largest province in Vietnam in terms of population and economic development. Meetings with the leadership of the provincial People’s Committee and rectors of local universities opened new horizons for cooperation. They discussed student exchange programs, joint research projects and training in engineering, IT and technology.

Hong Duc University showed special interest in SPbPU, where they are interested in academic exchange and support for graduate students. In addition, SPbPU presented its programs at a meeting at the University of Culture, Sports and Tourism, where Rector Dr. Le Thanh Ha noted the potential for cooperation in international projects.
SPbPU held a series of events at Lam Son Special School, one of the oldest and most prestigious schools in the country, known for its victories in international Olympiads. The students, who study in-depth technical and natural science disciplines, learned about SPbPU’s bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, as well as opportunities to participate in scientific research.

The final stages of the 18th and 22nd All-Vietnam Olympiads in Russian language for school and university and students were held. Daria Balitskaya, a senior teacher of supplementary education at HS IEP, not only developed new materials on the «Speaking» aspect, but also took part in the Olympiad together with Associate Professor Nguyen Tuyet Minh, the only representative of Vietnam and the first woman scientist to be awarded the Pushkin Medal in 2017, which was personally handed to her by Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin. Winners of the Olympiads had a chance to qualify for quotas for free education in Russia, including programs at St. Petersburg Polytechnic University.

SPbPU’s participation in the exhibition strengthened the university’s position in Vietnam. Contacts were established with key universities and schools, and agreements were reached on joint educational initiatives. The award ceremony for the winners of the Olympiads will be held in May 2025 at the Russian House in Hanoi, where SPbPU plans to present certificates to its future students.

St. Petersburg Polytechnic University continues to expand international cooperation, opening access to quality education and innovative programs for Vietnamese youth. New projects, exchanges and victories are ahead, which will strengthen the friendship between Russia and Vietnam.
