Slavic Universities: SPbPU helps KRSU develop relations with industrial partners
As part of the implementation of activities of the joint SPbPU-KRSU Work Plan for 2025, an expert group of the Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) paid a working visit to the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) in March.

The main purpose of the visit was working meetings and negotiations of SPbPU representatives with industrial partners of Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
The business program began with a visit to the office of Alliance Altyn Company, a key industrial partner of KRSU. During the working meeting with representatives of the company, the main topic of discussion was the realization of the Roadmap of cooperation between KRSU and Alliance Altyn for 2024-2026. Alliance Altyn is the first industrial partner of the university and it opens new opportunities for long-term scientific and educational cooperation. The roadmap provides for the development of more than ten educational courses for managers and engineering staff of Alliance Altyn. Participation of Russian universities, in particular SPbPU, in the implementation of the Roadmap will strengthen the scientific and educational potential of the project.

In addition to the meeting at the head office of Alliance Altyn, the experts visited the largest gold deposit in the Kyrgyz Republic, Jerui, which is being developed by Alliance Altyn. The experts got acquainted with the technological processes of gold mining, working conditions and prospects for the development of the enterprise, assessed the scale of production, talked to employees and discussed the possibility of organizing internships for students and the need to introduce modern technologies to improve the efficiency of the deposit.

At the final meeting at KRSU the results of the expert work were summarized. The participants discussed promising areas of joint research and educational projects in the interests of Alliance Altyn, mechanisms and possible formats for the implementation of such projects. Among the most relevant project areas were highlighted automation and digitalization of production, energy audit, modernization of pumping units, expertise of the HPP construction project, organization of courses on «Lean Production», expertise on occupational health and safety. There is a lot of work ahead to coordinate, approve and implement joint projects. KRSU with such support is obliged to become a flagship of Russian education and science in the region
, emphasized Sergey Volkov. For Polytechnic University the task to support KRSU in terms of development of scientific and technological partnership with the company Alliance Altyn is also one of the key — in the Plan of joint work the parties agreed to work out until the end of 2025 a complex applied engineering and technological project in the interests of Alliance Altyn.

In addition to working on the formation of a potential portfolio of KRSU projects with industrial partners, SPbPU experts held a number of working meetings with the heads of scientific schools of KRSU and expert sessions with the KRSU development team. Thus, during the design and analytical session on the formation of KRSU development strategy until 2036, recommendations were made to supplement and focus the strategic goals and key areas of the university’s development.
