The key task of the session was to formulate the main provisions of the development strategy that will allow KRSU to become the leading university in Central Asia and strengthen the position of Russian education in the international arena. Such an ambitious task required maximum concentration of efforts of external experts and KRSU staff. During seven days, more than 50 representatives of all categories of university staff from students and teachers, to heads of structural units and rectorate in the format of group work and plenary sessions analyzed the current state of the university (its achievements, problems and prospects). They discussed the issues of competitiveness and international cooperation, worked on the image of the future of KRSU.
The work was organized in six thematic divisions: technical (engineering), medical, social and humanitarian, human capital management, student activities, and strategic. In each of the divisions, teams worked on mechanisms for transitioning KRSU from its current state to the desired university of the future.

The Polytechnic were actively involved in the work of the session, participated in discussions and elaboration of the KRSU development concept. SPbPU experts solved several tasks at once. On the one hand, they helped to form an image of KRSU by 2030, and on the other hand, they worked out solutions for building basic processes «here and now», as required by the joint action program.

In the «Human Capital» division, experts formulated the main mission — KRSU should become a center of attraction for highly intellectual personnel and talented youth. It was not only about attracting employees, but also about retaining talent.
The experts of the «Technical Division» identified the three most important strategic directions for KRSU — robotization, energy and nuclear medicine. It is in these areas that KRSU’s partner community of industry and business is being formed, which will modernize engineering education and make it in demand and prestigious nationwide.
Youth activists of SPbPU moderated the work of the «Student Division». They shared their experience and together with KRSU students developed projects to solve problems in youth policy.

The results of five days of work of the divisions and the KRSU development team were collected, analyzed by the strategic division and formed into a final report, which was presented at the final plenary session. It was also attended by representatives of specialized ministries of the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic, the Office of the President of the Russian Federation, technology and business companies of the two countries.
KRSU should become a center of transfer of scientific knowledge, technologies and educational innovations, cultural and social values of the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic. Thanks to the new campus, the provision of infrastructure will grow more than 4 times, the total number of students will increase to 15000. KRSU should take leading positions not only in national (now it is No. 1 in Kyrgyzstan), but also in international rankings, entering the top 300 world universities. In the financial model, a worthy place is given to income from industrial partners. Attracted funds will be used to finance scientific research. Bilingual education at all levels — from kindergarten to higher education programs — will remain the most important factor of KRSU’s attractiveness.
Next year, SPbPU and KRSU teams will continue to implement joint projects and activities, including the development of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University development program for the period from 2026 to 2030.
