SPbPU integrates management practices and digital solutions into the international educational environment

10 July 2026 International activities 113

SPbPU conducted events together with the Slavic universities of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan in three areas: the development of digital competencies of students and teachers, advanced training of managerial staff, regulatory and legal support for the licensing of new educational programs and the expansion of the branch network.

RTSU: Managerial staff and expansion of the educational portfolio

Specialists from two SPbPU departments — the Centre for the Development of Educational Programs of the Directorate of Basic Educational Programs and the Centre for Corporate and Network Additional Professional Programs — organised systematic training for 30 heads of educational programs at RTSU. The participants studied modern models for designing basic educational programs, mechanisms for integrating students’ project activities, and algorithms for preparing and conducting state final certification. The final stage was the preparation of a presentation of an educational program taking into account all the studied materials, after which all 30 heads received certificates of advanced training.

Parallel to the training, the SPbPU Centre for the Development of Educational Programs provided RTSU with comprehensive methodological support in preparing documents for obtaining a licence from Rosobrnadzor to carry out educational activities. The joint work made it possible to open new specialities and areas of training. As a result, RTSU received an updated licence that significantly expanded the range of educational services offered and strengthened the university’s position as a multidisciplinary educational centre in the region.

KRSU: Digitalisation of learning and development of online competencies

The SPbPU Open Education Centre continues systematic cooperation with KRSU, focusing on setting up distance learning processes, transferring advanced methods of working in the electronic information and educational environment, and ensuring KRSU students’ access to high-quality online resources from SPbPU. A total of 125 people were trained — 52 students and 73 teachers.

For students, a mass open online course «Digital Industry Technologies» was held. The program introduces students to modern digital technologies and practical cases of their application in industry, energy, transport, healthcare, construction, the financial sector and science, and forms a basic understanding of the role of digital tools in future professional activities. The students studied the main trends of digital transformation, mastered specialised terminology and learned to evaluate the effectiveness of digital solutions. Following the successful completion of the materials, 52 students received certificates of completion of the online course.

For teachers, an advanced training program «Tools and services for content development and organisation of e-learning» was conducted. It was developed specifically to enhance teachers’ competencies in the field of information and communication technologies and their methodological readiness to work in blended and distance learning formats. The training involved 73 teachers from various faculties. They mastered the functionality of the distance learning system, learned to design the structure of an online course, create multimedia content, organise feedback and progress monitoring, as well as adapt traditional educational materials for the online format without loss of quality. The teachers completed practical case studies on developing fragments of their own future online courses, which allowed them to immediately apply the acquired skills in their teaching work. All 73 participants successfully completed the program and received SPbPU advanced training certificates. Such training opens up new opportunities for building a flexible and accessible educational process in the digital environment.

The joint work of SPbPU with the Slavic universities demonstrated the high effectiveness of integrating Russian educational standards, management practices and digital solutions into the international educational environment. Both initiatives fit into SPbPU’s long-term strategy for the export of education and strengthening the position of Russian universities in the post-Soviet space. Plans include the continuation of methodological support, the launch of new joint courses and double-degree programs, as well as the deepening of academic exchange.
