SPbPU’s experience - to reliable partners
Peter the Great Polytechnic University expands the export of best practices to Russian Slavic universities. This is how the training of the Russian-Armenian University staff continues within the framework of the roadmap for the introduction of project activities.

In accordance with the approved road map for the introduction of the course «Fundamentals of Project Activities» at the Russian-Armenian University, from December 11 to 15 this year RAU hosted the training of those responsible for the organization of training and mentors of student projects. The course programs were «Organization of Students’ Project Activities» and «Project Activities in Higher Education». More than 20 RAU employees from the Institutes of Economics and Business, Law and Politics, Mathematics and Informatics, Media, Advertising and Cinema, Biomedicine and Pharmacy, Engineering and Physics, as well as representatives of RAU administration and student council were trained.

The face-to-face part of the training was conducted by the team of the BPA course. It was headed by the Director of the Higher School of Design Activity and Innovation in Industry, Professor Sergey Redko, Dr. of Engineering. Also lectures and practical classes were given by Anton Ambrazhey, Senior Researcher of the International Academic Competence Center «Technologies of Intellectual Enterprise», Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and Inna Seledtsova, Senior Lecturer of the Higher School of Design Activity and Innovation in Industry. The listeners got acquainted with the basics of project management and student project management. They learned about recommendations for working with customers and organizing project activities at SPbPU.

Future mentors tried themselves in the role of students by filling in templates of student project assignments and receiving feedback from the course instructors. On the last day, the experts developed a detailed action plan for launching the pilot BPA course at RAU. At this stage, the training is planned as an elective in the first semester of 2024, but in the future the practice can be extended to the whole university, then it can become a general education discipline at all. The distance learning part of the training on the online platform and the final defense of the projects are still ahead.
