The event was attended by about 280 leading representatives from the scientific and business communities, including delegates from government ministries, universities (Anhui University, Changzhou University, Yangzhou University, and others), research institutes, and high-tech companies. The main theme of the forum was the development of new productive forces and the creation of an interregional scientific and technological ecosystem.

Among the key speakers and honorary guests were Xing Huaibin (Director of the New Productive Forces Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China), Ruan Qing (President of the Shanghai Academy of Global Urban Studies), Wang Xiaoming (Director of the Institute of New Productive Forces under the Chinese Academy of Sciences), as well as representatives of the governments of Anhui Province and Hefei City.

Polytechnic University signed an international cooperation agreement

On the sidelines of the event, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) signed an international cooperation agreement. SPbPU, together with TÜV SÜD, acted as a key foreign counterparty to the National Center of Technology Innovation for the Yangtze River Delta (NICE). The partnership is aimed at expanding the network of innovation exchanges and implementing joint projects in the fields of advanced technologies and engineering sciences.

For SPbPU, this event marks an important stage in the development of scientific and educational cooperation with China. Collaboration with a leading organization in the region opens up new opportunities for strengthening the university’s position in the international scientific and educational space and expanding its pool of Chinese partners, including leading research institutes and corporations. Together with the National Center of Technology Innovation for the Yangtze River Delta, the Polytechnic University plans to implement projects aimed at technology commercialization and the training of highly qualified personnel for high-tech industries in Russia and China.

The signing of the agreement and participation in China’s largest scientific and technological exhibition are important indicators that SPbPU continues to systematically increase its presence in the Asian region, confirming its status as one of the leaders of Russian engineering education on the global stage.
