The first major event was the «Consultation Day on Admission to Higher Education Institutions and Career Guidance — 2026,» organized by the newspaper «Toyche» and the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam. The event took place at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), the country’s leading technical university.

SPbPU was represented as part of the unified national booth «Education of the Russian Federation.» University representatives conducted hundreds of individual consultations for applicants interested in engineering and natural science specialties. The attention of Vietnamese youth was particularly drawn to the opportunities to participate in real scientific projects and modern laboratories at Polytechnic during their studies.

Representatives of SPbPU also joined a working meeting with Russian language teachers and parents of applicants at the Russian Center for Science and Culture. The event allowed for discussion of practical issues: the level of language proficiency required for admission, preparatory programs, and student adaptation during their studies in Russia.

On the first day of the exhibition, the SPbPU delegation visited Hanoi Capital University. Vice-Rector Nguyen Van Tuan called the visit an important step in the development of academic cooperation. The parties discussed joint projects and educational exchanges. On the same day, university representatives met with students at Tung Thien School, telling them about engineering specialties and admission to Polytechnic University.

The Polytechnic delegation visited schools in Vietnam

The program continued in Haiphong: after visiting the «Red Star» University, the delegation visited the Nguyen Trai and Tran Phu specialized schools for gifted children, where students study Russian in depth and are oriented toward admission to Russian universities. SPbPU representatives presented engineering and IT programs, opportunities for research work, and career prospects. The lively response from the students confirmed the high and sustained interest in Russian engineering education in Vietnam.

SPbPU participated in the work of the jury for the Russian Language Olympiad for schoolchildren and students

A separate important mission for the SPbPU representatives was participating as part of the jury for the 19th Vietnamese School Olympiad in Russian Language and the 23rd Student Olympiad.
