The first KRSU students came to Polytechnic University

This year Polytechnic University on behalf and with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation launched a number of projects aimed at the development of engineering education modernization processes at Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU). We have already conducted project-analytical sessions and monitored KRSU activities, carried out expertise and modernized curricula in engineering training areas, provided access to online courses of SPbPU for KRSU students and teachers.

This year 30 students from Kyrgyzstan will start studying at SPbPU in the format of long-term internship within the framework of network educational programs. This event is part of an ambitious project to improve the effectiveness of KRSU’s activities in training engineering personnel for the digital economy.

Third-year students from KRSU meet Knowledge Day as part of the Polytechnic student community. On the eve of the beginning of the new academic year, the students were welcomed by employees of international services and specialized institutes of our university.

During several months the guys will be trained in nine educational programs in five institutes: «Industrial and civil construction of unique buildings and structures», ‘Technospheric safety" and «Design of architectural environment» — Institute of Civil Engineering; «Electric power plants» — Institute of Energy; «Computational mechanics and computer engineering» — Institute of Physics and Mechanics; «Intellectual systems of information processing and control» and «Technology of development and maintenance of quality software product» — Institute of cybersecurity and computer science; «Integrated electronics and nanoelectronics» and «Mobile communication systems» — Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications.

The students were also welcomed by representatives of the institutes, who spoke about the specifics of the directions and opportunities for students of the university. After the general meeting, the coordinators from each institute got acquainted with the new students.

At the end of the event, the students received information materials about the class schedule, internal regulations and contact information of the supervisors who will help them in adapting to the new educational environment.

KRSU students thanked for the warm welcome and the opportunity to study at one of the leading technical universities in Russia. Daniel Kutmanov, chose the direction «Software Engineering».

I was impressed by the high organization of work at Polytechnic University and the caring attitude of the university staff. I’m looking forward to the beginning of the semester so that I can immerse myself in my studies as soon as possible, Daniel said.
