25 June 2025 International activities 173

A joint event for students and teachers of FADAC, FST, and the Faculty of Economics was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. The Polytechnic University held a seminar on the experience of implementing the mass course «Fundamentals of Project Management» and the prospects for its replication at KRSU. The event concluded with a quiz on the basics of project management. The seminar was conducted by Anton Ambrazhey, senior researcher at the International Academic Center of Competence «Intelligent Enterprise Technologies» of the SPbPU Digital Engineering Research Institute. This event is the first step towards another joint educational project between SPbPU and KRSU, planned for implementation as part of the «Roadmap» for the development of cooperation between the two universities.

The KRSU team of teachers at the project quiz

The seminar examined the methodology of project-based learning and the experience of introducing a project-based approach into the educational process, with an emphasis on developing students’ teamwork skills, critical thinking, and independent problem-solving skills in conjunction with the use of project tools in professional activities.

In the quiz, teams of teachers competed against students. Participants demonstrated their knowledge in the field of project activities and creative thinking.

The event generated a great deal of interest, and participants noted the importance of the knowledge they gained. The event concluded with a constructive discussion with potential mentors for student projects and the development of specific steps for introducing the new course into the educational process at KRSU as early as the 2025-26 academic year.

We believe that today’s meeting is just the beginning of a long journey. If our course finds resonance and a team of like-minded people appears at KRSU, then next spring we will launch a pilot project together, opening up new horizons for project activities at KRSU, Anton Ambrazhey summed up the results of the work.
