St. Petersburg Polytechnic University is actively involved in international youth events. Thus, representatives of Polytechnic participated in the VII International History School-2024 at Tver State University and spoke at the XIV Eurasian Economic Forum for Youth (EEFM) in Yekaterinburg.

150 students and young scientists from 31 countries participated in the 7th International History School.

The school program included lectures, master classes and round tables

The school program included lectures, master classes and round tables, project activities and excursions around Tver. Five thematic tracks included lectures by famous historians, political scientists and cultural experts: «History of the Great Patriotic War», «History of Russian Art», «History of Russian Science and Technology», «History of Ancient and Medieval Russia», «Modernization in the History of Russia».

IMM&T PhD student Teguh Imanullah from Indonesia in the track «History of Russian Science and Technology» studied the history of Russian science, technologies of digital preservation of historical and cultural heritage monuments.

In addition, the polytechnics spoke at the XIV Eurasian Economic Forum for Youth (EEFM) in Yekaterinburg. The event was attended by more than 17000 people from 114 countries of 81 regions of Russia. The main theme chosen was: «Russia — Eurasia — World. Integration — Development — Perspective».

Students Maria Fernanda Caballero Cardoso from Paraguay (ICE) and Chantal Carolina Guzman Guachilema from Ecuador (IMM&T) discussed at the Forum the state of education systems and the importance of developing a course for joint activities in the education and science tracks.

Schoolchildren, students and young scientists presented more than 10,000 projects in 50 competitions organized within the framework of six congresses.

At the forum, 72 diplomats discussed topical issues of geopolitical and macroeconomic transformation, participated in the round table «Dialogue on Equals» together with foreign students.
