Nanosatellites of third launch of the Space Pi project «Polytech Universe-4» and «Polytech Universe-5», developed at the Graduate School of Applied Physics and Space Technologies of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications of SPbPU, have been contacted and escorted. Recently, specialists of the Graduate School received the first footage from Polytechnic University’s small spacecraft orbiting the Earth.

Territory of South America

Unique images of South America and cloud cover near North America were taken by the Polytechnic Universe-4 satellite with an optical payload as part of flight design tests and development of optoelectronic equipment.

Clouds over the U.S.

The third launch of the Soyuz launch vehicle with Russian and foreign small satellites (cubesats), including Polytech Universe-4 and Polytech Universe-5, took place in November this year from the Vostochny Cosmodrome. The cubesats created at SPbPU are designed for radio-technical monitoring of electromagnetic environment. Their payloads include a high-resolution multispectral camera with an onboard space receiver for Automatic Identification System (AIS) signals.
