The Polytechnic at the international forum DID & AI IN 2024
The city of Innopolis hosted the traditional international forum Digital Innopolis Days, which this year was combined with the AI IN conference on artificial intelligence. The discussions focused on key areas and technologies: artificial intelligence, robotics, unmanned systems, and innovations in education and personnel training.

Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education, Anton Alikhanov, Minister of Industry and Trade, Eduard Sheremettsev, Deputy Minister of Energy, and representatives of major industrial enterprises such as KAMAZ and Transmashholding spoke at the plenary session «Prospects of Robotization in Russia: Converting Problems into Tasks».
Dmitry Tikhonov, Vice-Rector for Additional and Pre-University Education of SPbPU, noted: The forum platform is very representative and practice-oriented. As a result of last year, we launched three new educational projects with new partners, which were contacted at DID

Application of artificial intelligence in education and university management, digital development of the education system, and new collaborations in this area were discussed at the forum by Vladimir Tuchkevich, Head of the Department for Development of Portals and Mobile Applications at SPbPU, and Denis Ivanov, Deputy Director of the Institute of Computer Science and Cyber Security.
Traditionally, an interesting discussion unfolded around digital departments. This year for the best students of the project held a closed session and organized HR-studio. Polytechnic was represented by ICNC student Ekaterina Chadaeva, one of the best graduates of the program «Development of digital solutions based on 1C technologies».

Industrial partners presented their best practices of working with universities as part of the Digital Chairs project.
At the forum we exchanged practices and vision of the future development of IT education. Every year the interest of companies in joint professional retraining programs of Digital Chairs grows
, said Nadezhda Tsvetkova, head of the Digital Chairs project office at SPbPU.

The forum also featured a closed event of Gazprom’s partner universities, where a report was delivered by Janis Olekhnovich, curator of the Gazprom Support University project, and Elvira Tuktamysheva, Head of the Employment Assistance Sector. They presented the results of the implementation of educational programs and activities for training and development of applied IT competencies required for an engineer to perform the company’s tasks.
