The project of SPbPU scientists won an international competition in China
Holographic surgical navigation «Medgital» developed by an SPbPU research group won the Merit Award of the 12th Chaoyang International Entrepreneurship Competition.
The ITEC competition is supported by the Beijing Chaoyang District Government and offers unique opportunities and resources for international innovation projects. Chaoyang has already been chosen by 150 regional headquarters of international corporations, which is more than 70% of the total number of such offices in Beijing.

The best projects were named in Beijing’s Harry Cultural Center. The award for winning the competition was received by the project leader, Professor of the Higher School of Theoretical Mechanics and Mathematical Physics of the Institute of Physics and Mechanics, General Director of Medgital Vladimir Ivanov and a graduate of Phys-Mech and technical director of the company Sergey Strelkov.
For us, this victory is not only a recognition of our efforts, but also an opportunity to grow and enter the international market in one of the most dynamically developing areas of Beijing,
commented Prof. Ivanov.
The innovative system is successfully applied in surgery and shows good results: the use of 3D augmented reality technologies facilitates and accelerates preparation for surgery, optimizes all processes.
