Rector's Congratulations on the 1st of September
Dear Polytechnic students!
From the bottom of my heart I congratulate you with the beginning of the New Academic Year. I would like to cordially greet those who study, teach and work here, and also people who joint the glorious family of one of the best technical Universities of Russia – Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University – for the first time. I hope that this new academic year would become the time for new discoveries, achievements and victories for all of us.
Very soon our University will celebrate its 120th anniversary. We are proud of our scientific schools, our outstanding graduates. But even having such a rich history and deep traditions, Polytechnic university is rapidly developing. We launch new educational programs and professions, work with the Russian industry leaders and steadily act on the global international scientific and educational stage.
Today my special congratulations are for the first year students. Dear friends, of course, studying at Polytech is hard and every day work; and you will understand this from your first days here. But at the same time the University provides you great opportunities for self-realization. You will not only get here knowledge, but also develop your creative and sport talents. Study, venture, make new friends and try to become patriots of Polytech.
Dear senior students! I wish you further success in studies, science, sport, art and work. May your most brave ideas come true, and the mountains of knowledge be conquered!
And, of course, I would like to congratulate and express my gratitude to the staff members of the university: academic staff for the commitment, for the knowledge and experience you generously share with students. I wish health, success, prosperity, fruitful work for the benefit of the University and Russian higher education. Let the coming academic year be the year of achievements, professional and personal victories! Wish you diligence, insistence and good luck!
