SPbPU and KRSU are establishing joint cooperation with industrial partners
Polytechnic University continues to cooperate with the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU), providing methodological support and expertise to improve the efficiency and quality of key processes at KRSU in the field of engineering education.
As part of the development of scientific potential and the establishment of long-term relationships with industrial partners, a working meeting was held at SPbPU between representatives of SPbPU, KRSU, and the Geoscan Group.
Sergey Salkutsan presented the experience of SPbPU’s Advanced Engineering School «Digital Engineering» in implementing educational solutions aimed at training young engineers capable of working on applied tasks in the interests of industry and technological development. Initiatives implemented jointly with the Academy of Digital Technologies were also discussed, including career guidance projects and student participation in applied research.
During the meeting, the idea of creating a unified educational circuit along the lines of «industry — university — college — school» was presented, ensuring the transfer of knowledge and practical skills at all stages of training. Participants discussed possible formats for adapting this model in Kyrgyzstan on the basis of KRSU.
Andrey Gurinov spoke about the potential offered by cooperation with companies and educational institutions in the Kyrgyz Republic. A strategic development plan for the RMAT KR Association was presented, which focuses on providing international-level services with an emphasis on the regional needs of partners. It was noted that, given the extremely positive demographic situation in the Kyrgyz Republic, human resources are the driving force behind the development of the industry in the Kyrgyz Republic. Thus, cooperation in the field of education and targeted training is the key to success in long-term cooperation.
Representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic State University and Geoscan Group also familiarized themselves with the methodological and scientific-technical potential of the Digital Engineering Research Institute. The guests were shown the renovated premises of the High Voltage Technology building, which are planned to be used as educational and production sites.
After the business meeting, the guests checked out the engineering department at AES DE, the Special Design Bureau, which opened in October 2024. Alexander Gordeev spoke about the current tasks and projects of the OKB, including the use of digital engineering and the CML-Bench® platform to solve problems in the field of unmanned aviation. The SDB space is designed for the simultaneous work of up to 30 engineers, students, and representatives of industrial partners.
The KRSU representatives highly appreciated the level of technical equipment and the design activity of the students.
At the end of the meeting, they talked about ways to work together between SPbPU, KRSU, and the Geoscan Group in engineering education and tech development.
