SPbPU congratulates St. Petersburg on its birthday
Today St. Petersburg celebrates 322 years since its foundation. The city was founded by the great reformer and talented engineer Peter the Great, the first All-Russian emperor, whose name is held in special honor by one of the city’s leading universities — Polytechnic University. Throughout its history, our university has remained a faithful companion of the Northern Capital, actively participating in the development of the city as the most important cultural and scientific center of Russia.

Polytechnic University develops fruitful cooperation with leading cultural and historical institutions of the city, including the State Hermitage Museum, Kunstkamera and Peter and Paul Cathedral. Our scientists and graduates selflessly work for the benefit of St. Petersburg, participate in research projects aimed at preserving the cultural heritage of the Northern Capital.
Today, more than ever, it is important to remember our shared responsibility for the future of St. Petersburg and the whole country. Polytechnic University continues to nurture new leaders, scientists and creators who will glorify our city and develop its potential. University graduates make significant contributions in various fields: from high technology and engineering to art and culture. Their achievements are not only their personal pride, but also the real development of the city, strengthening its position as a center of innovation and progress. It is thanks to such a succession of generations, established by Peter the Great, that St. Petersburg continues to be a beacon of enlightenment and progress for the whole of Russia.
