On June 30, 2015 a visiting session of the Supervisory Council of the program "Made by You Business Academy" took place in the Resource Center of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. The program has been designed specifuically for students and young professionals by the worldwide leader in consumer goods production - Unilever company.

“Made by You Business Academy” offers students an opportunity to learn inside and out about one of the most successful companies in the FMCG market and try their hand in this industry. The program allows students to see with their own eyes manufacturing of consumer goods, which are used daily by thousands of people across Russia, to learn the secrets of career success from business gurus, to take part in case solving and to show their worth dealing with real business problems. The purpose of the program is to provide high quality professional training by pooling the intellectual potential, material, financial and corporate resources of Unilever and partner universities.

The Supervisory Council of the Unilever’s educational program "Made by You Business Academy" includes vice-rectors, directors, heads of departments of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Ural Federal University, Moscow State Institute of International Relations, the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, the National Research University Higher School of Economics, the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation, Omsk State University. The aims of the Supervisory Board are to strengthen long-term partnerships between business and academic institutions of higher education, to form a common vision of young professionals’ development and training, as well as to define long-term plans for further cooperation between the members of the Council.

The session in the Resource Center of SPbPU was dedicated to the development of common approaches to adaptation and integration of the program "Made By U Business Academy" into the curriculums of universities. The session was opened by the First Vice-Rector V.V. Glukhov and General Director of OOO "Unilever Rus" Laurent Kleitman. V.V. Glukhov reminded that Unilever is an important partner of the Polytechnic University: it always takes part in job fairs of SPbPU, arranges guided tours to its production facilities for the students of the university, gives information about the possibilities of training and working in the company, employs the best students. But despite the effectiveness of the current formats of cooperation, it is necessary to constantly continue the dialogue in order to identify new algorithms of interaction - it comes to the educational modules that are integrated into the curriculum, establishing the basic departments, scholarships, joint Master's programs, etc.

The Director of the International School of Management (Institute of Industrial Economics and Management) of SPbPU Е.Р. Schislyaeva, member of the Supervisory Council of Unilever’s educational program "Made by You Business Academy", spoke about the achievements of the Polytechnic University in the partner educational programs of applied character with Unilever. Students of the International School of Management also took part in the Supervisory Council session. They presented the results of a survey that was conducted among the students of the Polytechnic University, which was about students’ preferences in choosing a future employer. The next session of the Supervisory Council is scheduled for this autumn; it will take place in the Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
