SPbPU dormitory No. 13 (30 Grazhdansky Ave.) hosted the grand opening of a sports gym. Thanks to the efforts of the student council of the dormitory and the support of the administration of the SPbPU Student Campus, all sports enthusiasts got a great opportunity to train and improve their health free of charge.

A new gym was opened in the SPbPU dormitory

At the opening ceremony, Vyacheslav Olshevsky, Director of the SPbPU Student Campus, reminded that the idea to open the gym was announced during the 5th anniversary celebration of the PolyUnion Interclub. Three months have not passed since then, and we already have modern fitness equipment. By the way, the exercise bike and treadmill were a personal gift from our university rector Andrei Rudskoi.

The opening of the gym is a really bright event. We have quite few dormitories without gyms. The administration is going to make the life of students even more comfortable and better.

All sports fans had a great opportunity to train and strengthen their health for free

Alexey Plyushch, first deputy chairman of PROF, said that PROF is ready to support such projects and help create a comfortable environment for foreign students.

The guests immediately tried out the exercise equipment

After congratulations, the guests cut the ribbon. Then there was a small excursion around the hall. Moses Kunda, a student trainer from Zambia, showed how to properly use the training equipment and what muscle groups can be worked on it.

The opening of the gym is a long awaited event

At the end, Maya Hernandez, a student of the Humanitarian Institute, head of the cultural and mass department of the student council of dormitory No. 13, sang a song. And everything ended with the traditional photo session with the guests and students.
