On May 13, the Turkish Room was inaugurated at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. It is not only a classroom, but also a space for immersing in the atmosphere of modern Turkey, its language, history and culture.

The ceremony was attended by Ozgun Talu, Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in St. Petersburg, Sergey Pogodin, Director of the Higher School of International Relations (HSIR), Svetlana Trotsyuk, Deputy Director for International Affairs of the Institute of Humanities, Nadezhda Bogdanova, Deputy Director of HSIR for Academic Affairs, Alexei Vovenda, Deputy Director for International Affairs of HSIR, Maxim Zalyvsky, Head of the Project Office of the Russian-African Network University Consortium at SPbPU, a Turkish language teacher and a specialist in working with young people.

The Turkish Consul General gave a lecture

The Turkish Consul General gave a lecture on the role and tasks of a diplomat and answered numerous questions from the students. Sergey Pogodin gave the Consul General a short tour of the Higher School of International Relations, showing him the educational opportunities of the university.

Mr. Talu discussed with Vladimir Khizhnyak the prospects for further cooperation

On the same day, Mr. Talu discussed with Vladimir Khizhnyak, the head of the International Relations Office, the prospects for further cooperation. As a memento of the meeting, the Consul General of Turkey was presented with a photo album «Flora and Fauna of the Polytechnic Park».
