21 December 2021 University life 498

Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University switched to distance learning mode. The reason was the worsening of the epidemiological situation in connection with COVID-19 among students of the university. The corresponding order was published on December 20.

Polytechnic University switches to distance learning

New restrictive measures are introduced at Polytechnic University: transition to distance learning mode from December 20, 2021 (including examination sessions) until a special order is issued; cancellation of the mass public, cultural, and sports events at the university until a special order is issued; prohibition of access to Student Campus buildings for visitors, etc. Entrance to the academic buildings is also restricted for students of the university. Read the full text of the order here.

The administration of SPbPU urges everyone to show personal responsibility: to limit their movements in the city and the university. In case of difficulties in the transition to the distance learning format, you should contact the directorate of their institutions.

The current situation requires us to make responsible and prompt decisions: to secure students living in university dormitories, to transfer the educational process into a distance learning format, and to minimize the movement of employees around the campus. In this way, we will be able to localize the spread of the coronavirus and reduce the risk of subsequent infections. We understand that any restrictive measures always bring discomfort and difficulties, but the health of our students and employees is above all for us! commented Maksim PASHOLIKOV, vice-rector for informational and social work of SPbPU.

We remind you that international students can get vaccinated in Polyclinic № 76. A similar instruction is posted here.
