SPbPU entered the top 10 “green” universities in Russia

The results of the All-Russian ranking of «green» universities, in which 28 higher education organizations from 19 regions of the country took part, have been announced. Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University was ranked tenth.

Polytechnic University pays great attention to global environmental issues. SPbPU strives to meet the demand for environmental friendliness, participates in special programs and implements various practices.

SPbPU demonstrated high performance in all ranking criteria and special results in the area of «Water Utilization».

Polytechnic University implements the Lepota project with the support of Rosmolodezh and the Priority-2030 program, and the ReGreen student environmental association. Eco-educational and environmental events are regularly held at the university and on city sites, including collection of recyclable materials and items for those in need, clean-up days, lectures and master classes. At SPbPU, special attention is paid to energy saving and energy efficiency, green zones, and research on environmental issues.
