7 June 2023 Achievements 484

The RAEX-Analytics agency presented the results of the ranking of the hundred best universities of Russia at the forum of higher education institutions «The Future of Higher Education». Polytech was ranked eighth, the same as last year. In spite of growing competition, it succeeded due to the growth of the university’s demand among applicants, as well as an increase in the number of programs implemented together with industrial partners and revenues from professional development programs.

The volume of income from research, development, scientific and technical services increased by 16%

According to the results of the RAEX study, Russian universities have made the greatest progress over the past year in research activities: on average, the indicator increased by 20%. At the same time, the participants of the Priority 2030 program on average have increased the volume of R&D by 24%. Polytech is among such leaders. The volume of income from research, development, scientific and technical services increased by 16%.

Nowadays, a close partnership between universities and industry is a prerequisite for responding to the current challenges. We have focused on three components: training personnel to meet employers’ demands, conducting research and creating developments to meet the needs of the customer and the industry as a whole, as well as increasing the speed of bringing these developments to market. Such a comprehensive approach allows our university not only to keep high positions in the Russian ranking, but also to contribute to the technological sovereignty of the country, said SPbPU Rector Andrei Rudskoi.

Annual Moscow Forum "The Future of Higher Education"

The universities in the ranking were evaluated in such areas as the conditions for receiving a quality education, the level of demand for graduates by employers and the level of the research activity of the university.

When preparing the ranking, statistical indicators were used, as well as the results of surveys of over 120 thousand respondents: representatives of academic and scientific circles, students and graduates, employers.
