The event, organized by the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office with the support of the Russian Embassy in Uzbekistan, became the largest platform for the presentation of Russian higher education in Central Asia. The opening ceremony was attended by Alexey Yerkhov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Uzbekistan, Pavel Shevtsov, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo, and Irina Staroselskaya, Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative Office.

The SPbPU delegation was represented by Tatiana Sytnikova, Deputy Head of the Department of International Education, and Georgy Vasilyanov, researcher at the Industrial Streaming Data Processing Systems Laboratory at the NTI SPbPU Center. Tatiana Sytnikova held a number of working meetings and spoke at a press briefing at the Sputnik Uzbekistan press center.

An important aspect of the exhibition was the familiarization of applicants with the possibilities of studying under the quotas of the Government of the Russian Federation, which cover studies at the preparatory department, bachelor’s, master’s and postgraduate degrees. Visitors to the SPbPU stand received individual consultations on the areas of training, admission conditions and employment prospects.

During the exhibition, a «Parent meeting in a new format» and a series of master classes from representatives of Russian universities were held, which allowed for a direct dialogue between educational institutions and potential applicants.

The exhibition participants were particularly interested in the master class «Mission: ground drone», which was conducted by Georgy Vasilyanov. The scientist showed a small-sized wheeled autonomous robot with the possibility of trial control. Applicants and students also played a board mini-game «Assemble a drone». They independently equipped the device with various sensors and devices. The master class was marked by record attendance and aroused great interest among both students and representatives of educational institutions in Uzbekistan.
